I’m a High School student so spending an hour per day on Duolingo just wasn’t realistic for me.
However, I eventually turned off the competition features, as it became too time consuming to keep up with people earning 10,000 XP (study points) per week. In fact, I was able to maintain my position in the Diamond League for three consecutive weeks.

But what I did know was that it had French - a language I was really into at the time. Doulingo even has a plethora of research to back up its claims. According to its website it is “The world’s #1 way to learn a language.” It boasts that learning bite-sized lessons for 15 minutes a day can help you become fluent in a language.
