It caused me to time out (which shows as negative on my profile) and also gave me a game loss, when I would have clearly won the game otherwise.Apple is now seeding its iOS 17 Beta 2 release to developers and beta testers following the Beta 1 release from earlier this month. I had this same problem, also with a "5" when I had pieces on the "6" and my opponent was in my own "1". Just wanted to let you know about this glitch. The system still said he needed to make a move but didn't give him a move to make. He also couldn't move from the six to the one as I had it blocked. There was no legal move for the other die as he couldn't bear off any of the other checkers as he still had guys on the six but none on the five. He rolled a six and five and freed one of his checkers on the six. I had multiple checkers on the last spot. He had checkers on the spot where you need a six to bear off but none on the five. He had all of his checkers in the final quarter. My opponent had no legal move because the only spaces he could go were blocked, yet the game required him to make a move before the game could continue (there was no option to pass). Finally, if you roll a double (for example 2-2), you can do 4 moves with that value. If you land on a position with only 1 checker belonging to your opponent, you "hit" it and place it on the middle bar (and it has to start over from the beginning). You can only move on "free" positions, meaning positions that are not occupied by 2 or more of your opponent's checkers. On your turn, you roll 2 dice, and you can make 2 moves accordingly - one move with one checker, and another move or with the same checker or another one. The first player to get all of his checkers off the board wins. The goal is to move checkers around, then off the board. Thus we are happy today to propose them this new classic game for two players.īackgammon is a dice game.

Most board games on BGA are modern, but many players like to play classic games here to enjoy BGA functionalities such as replay, ELO, statistics, trophies.

We are happy to introduce a new classic game on BGA: Backgammon.
